Foreign Travelers Increase Number of Arrivals at Cancun International Airport

The Cancun International Airport, a testament to Mexico's growing appeal as a tourist destination, saw a significant surge in foreign travelers in the first two months of 2024, with a staggering count of almost two million.

Cancun captured 45% of the total international tourists from all of Mexico during the first two months of 2024. This number of tourists is significant considering that 1.98 million international tourists were received at the airport during this time.

This increase in passengers represented a growth of 7.4% year over year compared to the same period of the previous year.

In addition to the news regarding the fantastic increase in passengers at the Cancun International Airport, the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) occupied the second position with 732,712 passengers.

Cancun is a city that enchants international tourists with its allure of sunshine, fabulous restaurants, white sand beaches, and beautiful sunsets. However, it also holds the distinction of being the most preferred destination and where international tourists spend the most.
